This is the panel of fifteen prints that formed my ARPS application and for which I was awarded the distinction of Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, following my assessment at Bath in October 2015.They were displayed as three rows of five images in the order shown here.
Statement of Intent: ARPS Pictorial Panel
It is easy to overlook the details of modern architecture while taking in the overall impression of the complete structure. I am attracted to the variety of shapes found in modern architecture that are created by the interaction of light, shadows and reflections on architectural forms, and that are influenced by the choice of viewpoint. In this panel I want to reveal the essence of these shapes, abstracted from their surroundings.
