About

I have always had a passion for photography, and for well over sixty years it has been one of my main interests. It all started with a Kodak box camera way back when, but since retirement, I have been able to devote much more time to photography, exhibiting locally and at various international salons. I am Secretary of Sidmouth Photographic Club where you can find me most Wednesday evenings, and where I run a group for members to help each other in achieving their photographic distinction goals – mainly LRPS, ARPS and FRPS.

More recently I have been working on achieving a Royal Photographic Society distinction, and was successfully enrolled as a Fellow of the RPS in 2025. You can see my Fellowship, Associate and Licentiate panels in my Project Galleries. I have also achieved an AFIAP distinction, awarded in 2017.

Subjects which interest me include abstract and architecture as well as macro photography. You can see more of my architecture images on my Instagram Feed.

I am inspired by the shapes and forms found in nature as well as the built environmen. There is a lot of satisfaction in finding a simple subject with all the elements of composition, but so much easier said than done!

I hope you enjoy my work and thank you for looking at the images in my galleries: I have enjoyed making them.
